Everyone’s routine differs. Yours, mine and everyone in between. We all have different routines, different choices & different ways. Here are a few of my reasons why I do what I do.
Why don’t I have the facebook app?
I have two beautiful and lovely children and as much as I want my blog to succeed, I can never put ANYTHING before them. There are many mothers that do have the app and there is absolutely nothing wrong with this – don’t get me wrong. But I see how involved I get with my blog, I don’t want TOO MANY DISTRACTIONS when seeing to my kids. I don’t want my phone beeping every ten seconds to notify me of someone’s comment.
If thats the case, then why do I have facebook?
I have facebook because it helps to promote my blog and to achieve my purpose of uplifting moms and reaching out to them.
Why do I minimise blogging & social engagement on weekends?
Weekends are family time. My husband works all the time and we try to make the most out of the family time that we do get.
Why is my home a mess?
Do you have two kids? Some of you have more. How much energy are you going to waste tidying the same place over and over again? I do clean up but some areas, like the lounge, I only do once a day. This is my kids home too. If they want to claim the lounge for themselves, who am I to stop them?
Why am I typing this?
Firstly, many people judge a home by the amount of neatness and tidyness it has. If you come to my home, you ARE MOST DEFINITELY going to find toys scattered everywhere, probably a pile of laundry, clean dishes stacked all over the place BUT you will also find in this mess a lot of happiness & laughter & two squealing kids.
Secondly, I DO NOT want to miss all this chaos by sitting with my phone, addictively browsing on social media. There are too many priceless moments happening!
And lastly, this post randomly came to my head lol.
