Over the holiday period, I was super quiet on the blog and on social media. After all, holidays are meant for relaxing and spending time with family, and not getting more and more attached to technology. Just before the holidays could begin, I announced my pregnancy and the fact that we bought a home. I am now almost full term and am expecting baby any day now. Let me tell you, I am TIRED.
Pregnancy number 3 has NOT been easy for me. My family has helped out immensely during this time as well as my husband who saw to everything this holiday. He also has tried and succeeded to make life easy for me while I suffer.
So now, here I am on the final lapse of pregnancy, praying hard every single day that I go into labor. With pregnancies one and two, I suffered alot. With my son, I was in hospital monthly before he was born and after he was born, I got really sick. The pain that came with pregnancy number 2, is indescribable, and well number 3, just swooped in and stole the spotlight.
I currently can’t sleep at night. I pace around the house from about 2 am and when sleep finally takes me at around 4 am, my kids are getting up.
The sciatic pain is excruciating, making it impossible for me to lie in bed. Instead, I have to sit on the sofas and sleep.
My feet are like small balloons, I officially have cankles. Also, my feet are on fire all the time and the rest of my body looks as though I’m a blow fish.
As the baby drops, it gets harder to walk, sit, stand, pee; basically it hurts to do anything.
I have to pee about 3 million times a day.
I have no energy or strength especially not with this unbearable heat going around.
Truth is, I really cannot manage anymore and need to give birth now!! However, I’ve opted for natural birth, which means, I’ve got to wait for this baby to decide when their ready to show up. Waiting like this however is driving me crazy and has me googling all sorts of things like how to induce labor naturally.
A commonly found advice online is to take castor oil – Apparently irritating your bowels will bring on labor. Needless to say, I ain’t about to try that. I mean, I am desperate and all, but not THAT desperate.
I found a thread online about a sure fire way to put yourself in labour. Its actually sort of an exercise. It begins with the pregnant mama to rub their tummy vigorously and with some pressure in a clockwise direction for a minute. Thereafter, the expecting mother should do a few lunges for about 3 minutes followed by a few squats. Sounds great and all but lets be honest, that’s just too much work for a pregnant woman to do. Especially when everything just hurts.
So now here I am, sitting like a ghost, all alone and in the middle of the night, just waiting for labor to strike because honestly, I just can’t handle this anymore! I can’t tell you how many times in the past month I have just sat and cried. I’ve cried to my husband, cried to God, cried and cursed myself… I just can’t manage with all this pain and discomfort anymore.
So if you’re reading this and you believe in God and the Universe, please ask them for me to put me into labor soon.
