So as I explained earlier, I am revamping my blog, which means that you will of course get the occassional blog post from me but I am working on changing the direction and course that it is taking. I started this blog with the idea of connecting with other moms and I have! We have a crazy group of moms from around South Africa, all in a whatsapp & facebook group & we have become such great friends.

Knowing these ladies (whose advice I take oh-so-often), has inspired me to attempt to put something together in which we can enable each other to become momtrepreneurs. Now what is this new concept called Momtrepreneur?

According to Wiktionary – The free dictionary – a momtrepreneur is:

momtrepreneur (plural momtrepreneurs)

  1. (US, informal) A mother who runs a business out of her home, implicitly to earn extra income without the commitment of traditional employment.

I have spoken to so many moms, who have some great skills. These skills have not been taught to them, they have developed it on their own. The main reasons that they cannot take it any further is because they are limited by money, skill development, resources & of course, child care. I am trying to put together a proposal regarding addressing these issues, so I would appreciate it if you are a stay at home mom, please take part in my survey, here. I need to do my research and collect some great responses, so please participate. It will only take 3 minutes of your time! You and I can help each other, help moms like ourselves!

Great things are coming for my business as I am starting to expand my marketing & thinking of creating an online store. If you have any advice regarding this, please feel free to send me your advice or even blog posts!

In addition to that, I am about to start an online directory for momtrepreneurs (this will be developed during the December/January period), so WATCH THIS SPACE!

So that’s it for now, don’t forget to take part in the #SpurtSA Giveaway & for the stay at home moms like me, please help me by participating in my online survery: here. It will take just 3 minutes of your time!

If you would like to be a part of my whatsapp group, feel free to send me a message on facebook.

I have so many fond memories of trying to teach my kids to swim, we only have a small splash pool, and my kiddies were terrified of getting their faces wet. We basically have to start with a splashing game before we attempt to swim.. Hopefully this summer they will be swimming. They are 7 and 6 🙂

A memorable moment was little Amaani learning to swim and getting over her fear of swimming, after a few swimming lessons she is now confident and its been a beautiful experience to see her on her own enjoying swimming and joining the family in the pool
    A wonderful giveaway thank you

Summer and the pool are what memories are made off. My fondest memory was when my husband and I took my daughter swimming for the first time. She was so excited, she tried to “eat” the water. And then as she watched her dad swim, she laughed uncontrollably like it was the funniest thing she had ever seen. Watching my daughter so happy always makes my heart feel like it’s about to burst .. I will never forget the happiness I felt watching my daughter.
