#makeyourmove during this month of love with closeup.
February is the month of love all around the world. We celebrate Valentines Day yearly, putting guys in a frenzy of what to buy their Valentine to ensure that they don’t end up sleeping on the couch! If you’re a fan of romantic comedies like I am, you would know that one of the cliché’s of any romance movie is the lead girl’s smile. Yep, her smile is something that people are supposed to fall in love with. Well, newsflash guys, us girls, also dig smiles!
Speaking of smiles, closeup is hosting a social media campaign called #makeyourmove. Their message is clear and special:
“Closeness comes in many forms and expressions. Be spontaneous, be brave, and break free. Don’t think, just #makeyourmove”
closeup’s #makeyourmove campaign promotes breaking the barriers and building a more open society. After all, we, as a county have come so far, why should things like race, gender, social status etc get in the way of mutual attraction?
My husband and I knew each other from childhood but lost contact somewhere along the way. He was a boy that I knew from a distance that occasionally waved and chatted to me when we passed each other by in the neighbourhood. He has said before that I made the first move by sending him that odd facebook friend request on that random day after years of not seeing him and I always reply, “but you were the one that called me up out of the blue”. When I eventually did meet him, let me tell you; he knocked me down with that stunner smile & he took the plunge and made his move, by asking my permission to give me a kiss. If I never sent that friend request and he never made that call, we probably wouldn’t be here today with our two kids and one naughty rabbit!
Do you have a story like this? Share it with us! Check out closeup on social media and if you’re feeling bold enough, check on their pages for the #makeyourmove post and tag that someone special, that you’ve been checking out!
