#WisdomWednesday – 25 things that I would share with my younger self
April 4, 2018
So I turned 25 last month and although I did have a blog post planned, I trashed it. I don’t know why, I felt it was a bit cheesy. Anyway, since Jan-Feb-March are three consecutive birthday months, I am surrounded by thoughts of getting old. It feels like now is the time that I should begin my sentences with, “Remember when…” or “When I look back now…”.
So looking back on my life, here’s 25 things that I would share with my younger self
Beauty is about more than complexion
This too shall pass …and faster than you think
Cut your losses
It is not as important to be feared as it is to be respected.
Live your life regardless
Don’t be afraid; be confident
You can’t change everyone
You are stronger than you think
You are a small part of a big world
Your today will become yesterday quickly; Have no regrets
Being smart can get you in trouble too
Sometimes compromises lead you to great rewards
You can’t lose what was never yours
You can be whoever you want to be
Learn to cook
Continue learning to play the keyboard
Dont sing; you can dance, but just. dont. sing.
Life has a great suprise for you at 21, look forward to it
It doesn’t matter who boasts in the now, trust me, in the future they’ve got nothing to boast about
You will be successful
Accept disappointments; nothing can be changed about them
There are so many paths in life, it’s okay if everything doesn’t go according to your plan because trust me, there is a bigger plan; one thats been working out great for you so far
THINK before you EXECUTE
Now that I’ve finished writing this post, another thousand things have popped into my head ..hmm this should have be a thousand pieces of advice instead of just 25. Wait; was I that God awful at life that I need SO many pieces of advice?! Lol, I’d better get started on writing a book on do’s and don’ts for Ralee ..seems like there’s a lot I have to share!
