This weeks #ThursdayTruths is a bit different from the past. Truthfully speaking there are times that we don’t stop to think before we speak, and when I say “we”, I am referring to myself as well. We may not realise it but although words bring great happiness at times, they are also sometimes the source of great pain and sadness.
You know the saying, “sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me“? Well that is obviously true in the physical sense but words can sometimes bring about great heartache, especially to those emotional souls like myself.
Here are five quotes for my #ThursdayTruths today regarding thinking before speaking..
“Be sure to taste your words before you spit them out”
“Be careful with your words. Once they are spoken, they can only be forgiven, not forgotten”
“Open your mind before you open your mouth”
“Always remember, every word you speak has the power to either HURT or HEAL”
“10% of conflicts are because of difference in opinion, 90% are because of TONE OF VOICE”
